Staying at the Fernside was a treat. The room felt spacious and clean, with a comfy four-poster bed that I truly enjoyed after long days out. The breakfast menu offered delicious options, especially the full English, which kept me energized. Stuart and Angela were attentive and made me feel welcome throughout my visit. The location is a big plus—it’s just a short walk to the beach and local eateries. I found the nearby area could feel a bit uncomfortable at night due to safety concerns. having only one seating area in the room made it a bit cramped during my downtime.

Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious, though the area felt less safe at night due to nearby homes.

The honest truth about this
The warm welcome and comfortable room made for a truly enjoyable stay, paired with a breakfast that set me up for the adventures ahead.
Some areas felt dated and could use a refresh, while additional seating in the room would have enhanced comfort during downtime.

Had a braw stay for 3 nights! Stuart and Angela were pure welcoming, and the breakfast was cracking, especially the full English! The only downside was no bar on-site, but you're right next to a pub. Definitely would return!

We had a fantastic weekend exploring the seafront promenade with our young kids. The beach was just a short walk away, with safe golden sand perfect for building castles. Stuart and his wife were incredibly welcoming, and the breakfast spread had something for everyone.
My wife says that a kids' play area would be great.

Perfect for solo travelers!
The owners were very friendly! they even cooked breakfast to order, which made mornings feel special.
It wasn't exactly cheap but given the quality, it was acceptable.

pleasant stay with minor drawbacks
The owners greeted me warmly and were attentive throughout my visit. The breakfast options were impressive, with my favorite being the made-to-order full English. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep each night. A nearby real ale pub offered a delightful evening experience after a day of exploring, which added nice character to my stay.
The lack of an onsite bar made evening relaxation a bit less convenient.
